Challenge

A US-based appliance company engaged a growth strategy and M&A due diligence firm to analyse, improve, and update their corporate budget process.

 

Solution

Our analysts provided support, assisting the lead consultant in the development process of a new budget model. Each P&L item followed a logical flow from operational figures to financial items, enabling the client’s management to test and analyse different scenarios based on total sales, costs, new stores, etc. For simplicity and user-friendliness, the budgeting model was constructed in an Excel file with embedded macros to save each new scenario and to build multiple cases for analysis.
